Investigating with Haunted Discoveries
What to expect on our Investigations
Many people have asked us what is included in one of our investigations and what makes us different from other groups.
In short, most groups work the same way but the organisation
On arrival, you will be greeted by our experienced Team Co-ordinators and shown the allocated area to place your belongings. This is followed by an Introduction and a Health and Safety Talk, which is normally by one of the Trustees of the building (if available).
You will then be guided through a protection meditation should you wish to participate, by one of the Team members. After splitting into groups for the night we will (with time allowing) give you a brief tour of the venue.
During the night we will visit each allocated area in vigil for an approximately 45 - 60 minutes, then we shall break for refreshments, which are provided where possible throughout the night.
The Team Co-ordinators will encourage you to call out and give you the opportunity to use various items of paranormal equipment. We at Haunted Discoveries UK like to employ both traditional and scientific methods of paranormal investigation. As a guest we will invite you to take part in active experiments including group and lone vigils, table tipping, and pendulums. You will also get the chance to investigate using some of our equipment, which include: spirit boxes, temperature guns, rem pods, dowsing rods, Alice software, spirit boards and mel meters ect (where available) aiming to 100% involve you in the Investigation and to help make the night your own.
Many of our past guests have captured some great photographs and video footage, so you are welcome to bring your own equipment at your own risk.
Please Note: We have built a good reputation for the way we conduct our investigations, therefore it must be clearly understood that paranormal activity is spontaneous and therefore cannot be guaranteed. It is possible that any investigation may have little or no activity on any given night and refunds cannot be given if no activity takes place. We do NOT fake anything, nor use sound effects, special effects or anything else of such nature. We do not throw stones, bang on walls, shuffle our feet or make any deliberate noise and claim it is paranormal. Any faked activity will not be tolerated by anyone, so we ask you not to spoil the night for others in your group.
We would also like to stress that all our investigations are carried out with full respect to the property owners, the property and most importantly the spirits. Anyone who does not adhere to these regulations will be asked to leave.
Following the investigation you will meet again as a large group to de-brief and discuss your night. Any suggestions on how we could improve are greatly appreciated and welcome.
Disabled Access: Unfortunately, most of the locations we investigate are unsuitable for those with mobility difficulties due to the possibility of uneven floors, etc. However, please contact us if you wish to discuss this further.
We hope you enjoy your evening with Haunted Discoveries UK.
