Women who married a ghost 300 years old
Last month Amanda Teague revealed that she’s thrown in the towel with living men and has gone and married the ghost of a 300-year-old pirate instead.
And now the 45-year-old has revealed how she and Jack – the ghost she calls her ‘soulmate’ – will celebrate Valentine’s Day .
Appearing on Loose Women, guest panelist Kem Cetinay asked how the whole dating thing works and whether she books a table for two.
To which Amanda replied she actually books a table for four, because her best friend is dating Jack’s ghost friend.
“We do go on dates and I also have a friend who is in a relationship with Jack’s best friend, so we often go on double dates.
“And yes, we do leave a seat for them to sit on. We’ll buy them a drink – Jack likes rum and Matthew likes beer – and we set them down for them as a form of respect.”
Amanda married Haitian pirate Jack, who died in the 1700s, on a boat off the Irish coast.
Like any ordinary couple, they have arguments, go on dates – and even have sex.
Amanda, a Captain Jack Sparrow impersonator, previously said
“He is my soulmate. I am so happy”.
“It is the perfect kind of relationship for me.
“There are a lot of people out there who don’t know about spiritual relationships, but it could be right for them- I want to get the message out there.”
Amanda, who thinks her job is what could have brought Jack to her, has never seen her husband in physical form but she imagines he is similar to captain Jack in Pirates of the Caibbean.
The romance began one night in 2014 when lying in bed, she felt the energy of a spirit next to her.
When she realised he could communicate with her, she became more interested.
Their relationship developed as he’d sit with her when she was watching TV or driving.
